peter som rtw fall 06

I've been holding onto my Fall 06 RTW favorites for a while. Now that it's officially September and everyones thoughts are turning to Fall season lineups for tv, Fall collections for fashion, Fall interior collections, cold weather, and the start of the holiday seasons!!

I'll start with one of my absolute favorites, Peter Som, his Fall 06 Ready to Wear collection is a beautiful story told in amazing lines and muted choices in color. Good-bye Spring/Summer brights.
The collection made it's debut in New York Feb 06 and was inspired by the Ascot scene in My Fair Lady. (a movie which I completely and totally despise. I hate hate hate that ass Professor Higgins and never understood why anyone would fall in love with such an incredible snob/prude/jerk/asshole/with-a-stick-up-his-ass)
Som described his collection as "graphic and romantic at once"
the designer worked primarily in black and white, with an occasional detour into silk chiffon prints, I would highly recommend you check out the rest of his collection since my eye tends to zero in on my favorites and ignore all other choices. See it here on style.com
